I just read the following article from USA Today about the upcoming worldwide shortage for pilots. Pilot hiring typically goes through phases with years of low hiring followed by a huge demand for pilots. Because pilot pay is typically based on seniority, getting in at the right time makes a big difference in pay and your work schedule. This upcoming hiring phase would appear to be perhaps the largest yet. If you are wanting to become a pilot, the next few years may offer a great opportunity for you.
